Event Details
Type of event: | Performance |
Start time: | 6:45pm |
Venue: | Scentsy Commons Points of Light event Performance: Arrive early! Allow plenty of time for travel and parking. This is an evening performance – there may be a lot of people heading home from work as well as people out doing holiday shopping and errands so traffic may be slow. This is typically a well-attended event, and it may take some time to find a parking spot. Here is the schedule of performances: Equipment: Our Facilities team will have microphones and a soundboard set up for the performance. The performance will be in our outside amphitheater, facing the Scentsy park, and choirs will be on flat ground under the pergola. Compensation: Scentsy is giving each group $250 for their participation. This will be done via check, so please email your school's name, choir name and address so that I can get those checks prepared. I will hand those out on the night of your performance. Attached is a release of acknowledgment of that. If you could sign and send back to me, that would be great. Location: Our address is 2901 E. Pine Ave. We are located on Eagle and Pine in Meridian. Please arrive with your choirs 15-30 minutes before your scheduled performance time (depending on how much time you may need to prepare). Participants will enter through the main entrance doors of the Scentsy Tower -- by the Clock Tower. There will be a volunteer at the front door that can let you into the building and direct you to your room. We have reserved room 221 for preparation and storing bags, coats, etc. The Scentsy building will be closed during this event, as it is outside of regular business hours. Due to security, only one parent/guardian per choir member will be allowed inside of the building prior to performing. Additional guests will not be allowed inside of the Scentsy Tower. Lanyards will be available for choir members to identify singers and grant them access into the building, from the front main doors. We will hand these out before going outside to perform. These will need to be handed back to a volunteer or myself before leaving, so that we can get them to the next choir. The performance: I will escort each choir from room 221 to the amphitheater about 5 minutes before the performance time. You will have a 30-minute time slot to perform within, both modern and traditional Christmas music. Please plan to use the full thirty minutes. This event will be outside, so please advise your choir to dress appropriately for the weather. We anticipate around 3,000 attendees each night. |
